Hi everyone!
It's Irina with you today and this is my last post for BFS.
The time I spent with BFS was one of the most exciting experiments in my scrap-life. I'm so proud and happy to have been the part of the BFS team from the very beginning! I'd like to say big thanks to Leslie for the confidence and taking me in as a team member; and to Valerie for the great coordination work; and for all the DT members with whom I've worked with for the last 6 month. Cards and More with Patter

Hi, it's Patter Cross here sharing some inspiration with you todaya set of card and a layout. Let's take a look.

A Card Pair
Today I wanted to share a card pair I made. I used some scrap paper for the background, and the paper scrap was actually bigger than I thought so I was able to make two cards at once. That's so handy. Anyway, I used the Blue Fern Studios Symphony Corners Medium chipboard. I cut the chipboard in half and used a piece on each card. The chipboard was painted, and I added glass beads.

An 8 1/2 x 11 Layout
And for my layout, I thought I would play with a couple of photos of one of my daughter's riding Jesse. He has arthritis so she was taking it slow and warming him up. I used two different Blue Fern Studios chipboard setspart of the Leaf Frame and a piece from the Picture Perfect set for the title. Both pieces were painted, and I added glass beads to the Leaf Frame pieces that I cut.

Beauty in the Garden

I am ever so grateful to Blue Fern for letting me play with such amazing chippies and for helping them launch their products all around the world.  With that, I picked a few of my favorite pieces to share with you.

This is a wall hanging I made pulling a few elements of nature together.

I created some tags with some stamps and inks, but then I decided I did not want to leave them as tags.  That's when I opted to turn them into something more decorative.  I found the  Blue Fern chippies to be the perfect accent.

I used the Blue Fern Lattice Gate and coated it with gold embossing enamel. This is the perfect piece to tie my two tags together and create a garden feel.

Lattice Gate #074950

You can see I also added some green eyelash trim for some vines in my garden.

 Spring Iris Small - 074912
Every garden needs flowers so I grabbed the Blue Fern small Spring Iris set. I painted them with acrylic paints.

Vintage Ballerina
The ballerina image is soft, feminine, and elegant.  My choice for chippie was really easy.... I grabbed the Blue Fern Frame.  In my opinion, this is such an elegant and delicate piece of chipboard, just exquisite.

I kept it simple by painting it with a sandy cream acrylic, dabbed with white and inked the edges dark brown.

I embellished with my own jewelry chain and vintage metal piece.

Here is a close up where you can get a better view of the inking and painting on the chipboard.  Chipboard doesn't  always need to have fussy complicated treatments and toppings.  Sometimes unpainted or neked - as I like to call it - is perfect.  A simple coat of paint.  Easy.  Inked edges?  Done.

Thanks so much for stopping here today.

Watching YOU Put Our Designs to Work!

We've been at it again- searching the online galleries for projects featuring our products. And it seems there are more and more out there all the time! We just cannot express enough how incredible it is to see all of you using your talents to bring Blue Fern Studios to life on your projects. Such a joy!

Here's a look at some of those projects:

Jules
Such a pretty layout that just speaks of happiness! Jules has used our "Symphony Corners" and "Blooming Foliage" to accent her photo and cluster- the perfect touches!

Kelly
Kelly has used our "Royal Border" as an elegant canopy atop her photo. Beautiful!

Tracey Gregory
Tracey's grungy yet romantic layout needed the perfect title- from our "Valentine's Word Set"! A great fit for this sweet page :)

Andie
We adore how our "Manor Hinges" were put to use on this altered tool box. Andie has truly brought them to rusty, rustic life here, hasn't she?! Amazing!

Tracey Sabella
Tracey has put Blue Fern to great use on this card! Here she has included one of the butterflies from the "Brigitte Butterfly Set", a heart from the "Heart Set", and our popular "Royal Border"~ great work, Tracey!

Kathi
We were inspired by Kathi's focus on circular elements on this layout, and our "Floral Clock" was the perfect piece to compliment such a project. Gorgeous!

Rhonda
Rhonda has chosen her title from the "Valentine's Word Set" too- such a perfect sentiment for this heartwarming layout.

Thanks as always to our customers, friends, and fans! Your inspiration is endless!

We hope your week is off to a fantastic start :) Why not kick it off by taking part in our Sketch Challenge? We'd love to see your entries! And as always, keep uploading to those galleries- you just might find yourself featured next month :)!
