My scrapbooking style  is all about softness, clustering and romance.

Since I have used chipboards on my layouts, i've had a crush on Blue Fern Studios products.
That's why I'm here loll!

===================================

And now, here are my three inspiration layouts for January.

Let's start with the first one.
I used the beautiful new REMANTS collection products.

I first primed my background with clear gesso.  The background paper here is Remnants "Bloomsbury".  Also used "Mini-Remnants" paper in layers under my picture.

Then, I stamped here and there with brown ink and the Remnants Collage stamp
on the backgroud paper.

See that beautiful pale pink Remnants blooms 😍😍

In order to place my chipboard title around my picture, I chose to cut it in two sections.
I have embossed them with the Ivory embossing powder.
I also placed under my picture some pieces of the
Quatrefoil panel on which I used some red metallic paint.

Here, I printed the "Beautiful" word in the Distressed stamps set on some shrink plastic.
Thanks to Tartine Peluche who remind me of this oldie stuff in my stash 😉
It really makes a great effect, no?
It is placed on the white  Spring florals flower...

You can see on the next picture that I have used several colors of embossing powders on my chipboards in this  layout!
I really fell in love with the green ones for the leaves.
Here is Avocado embossing powder on the Rose leaves chipboard and
Forest embossing powder on the Thistle Spray chipboard.

Can you see the subtle tint of Green Ivory embossing powder on the
Bohemian flower chipboard piece here, on the lace?  So soft ...

Finally, I have used some printed Remnants chipboards, some Burgundy seedlings and some other flowers from my stash to finish this layout.

Hope you like this one 🙈

Now, my second Remnants collection layout.

My background here is the beautiful "Callaway" paper.
Also primed it with clear gesso.
Under my picture, "Chancery lane" and b-side of "Mayfair" paper.

Next, to make my focal point, I placed my pic on some parts of Quilted page panel chipboard.

I've used Black Sand embossing powder on this one and really like the 2 tones effect with beautiful "sandy" texture.  You can see on this next picture that I have paint in black a butterfly that I have cut from some Flutter page dangles chipboard piece, also add some mists.
After that, I embossed it with Ebony embossing powder and the Penned Flourishes stamp.
See the Remnants blooms that I have sprayed also to coordinate  the colors of my layout.

The Arrow word " Sweet" with  Ebony embossing powder as the title: simple as that 😏
Can also see the heartbreaking white Remnants florals.  Love those ones...
Some printed Remnants chipie and Garden Blooms too.

As embellishments, I used here and there some vellum circles on witch I embossed the
Texture circles stamps with the Ebony powder.

Here, I just left the Branch set chipboard pieces natural cause it matched my layout that way loll.
Some Tickled and Purple haze seedlings and white drops as final touches.

===================================

For my last layout this month, I chose the Amber and Abricot collection
which was one of my favorite last year.

Here, I used two papers as the background: "Birdsong" and a piece of the b-side "Yesterday" paper that I've placed in the middle of the first one.
Primed them with clear gesso, then add some texture with modeling paste through a stencil.
Finally, I've done some watercoloring with yellow mists and the background was done.

I've just used the Amber and Abricot printed chipboards here.
Some chipie under my picture and two borders below.

Here is a chipboard from Serendpity words1 as the title.
Embossed it with the Hot cocoa embossing powder.
Another "glittery" color that I've fallen in love with 😍

Some random stamping with brown ink and the Honey bits stamp.

You can see above some beautiful flowers from
Fresh floral (ivory) and Apricot blooms (white) kits.
Below, Homespun blooms (brown) and white Apricot blooms again.

After that, I've made my usual final touches, some white drops and add a mix of
Paprika and Twig seedlings.

July inspiration by Elena Volchkova

Hi everyone! Today is my day to talk about the dreams and inspiration. And it is the sea today. My new love - a collection Seaside Cottage. And the first two pages of it.

"Marine dreams" layout

In this work, it embodied gentle and romantic thoughts about the sea.. The sea always gives us great emotions, it is always waiting for us, and we look forward to seeing him ... waiting and dreaming.

The background is very complicated. I used the Embark paper as my background. And the mix of lace, twigs, beads. And paint, paint, paint!

Anticipation from "Serendipity Words 1" set was covered with Imagine Ink Lilac embossing powders.

Seaside Flourish was covered with mixture of Imagine Ink embossing powders in Petal and 14 karat, that so good together.
Flower from " Seaside Lilies" set.

To show the sun glare, I used Sunshine glitter. It's so sunny!

Seaside Flourish I cut into two parts and this piece has become accent in the corner. Colored to with mixture of Imagine Ink embossing powders in Petal and 14 karat.

Blue Fern Studios Supply List:
Paper: Seaside Cottage - Embark
Chipboard: Seaside Flourish, Ocean Mermaid, Serendipity Words 1
Imagine Ink Embossing Powder: Lilac, Petal, 14 karat
Glitters: Sunshine
Flowers: Seaside Lilies

"Family trip" layout

In this layout there is the story of one wonderful holiday, when a little girl was vacationing on the sea. Photos preserve for us the memory and emotions. This is so wonderful! You can always go back to childhood;)
I used the Voyage paper from the Seaside Cottage Collection as my background paper. And a lot of romantic and tropical details.

These flashlights enchanted me. They are magic! I wanted to use them together, just a little bit in different shades.

Large lantern was covered with mixture of Imagine Ink embossing powders in Honey and Mystic Plum. Little is also covered with a mixture. But other shades - Petal and 14 karat Imagine Ink embossing powders.

Stamps Forever and Postal Textures helps to make an interesting background.

"Reminisce" I covered to with Imagine Ink Mystic Plum embossing powder.

In this work I use the flowers of the sets: Attic Charm Daisies, Seaside Lilies and Attic Charm Glitter Roses.

Blue Fern Studios Supply List:
Paper: Seaside Cottage - Voyage
Chipboard: Seaside Lanterns, Serendipity Words 2
Stamp: Forever, Postal Textures
Imagine Ink Embossing Powder: 14 karat, Honey, Petal, Mystic Plum
Glitters: Sunshine
Flowers: Attic Charm Daisies, Seaside Lilies, Attic Charm Glitter Roses.

"In the Garden" layout

Layout for a girl who loves to be photographed. In this work I tried to continue flowers of pictures in the background and in the decor. I think a bush was very interesting.

Petite window secreted in the bushes behind the curtains of lace. Window was covered with Imagine Ink 14 karat embossing powders.

I used the Serendipity Medley stamp with Imagine Ink 14 karat embossing powder to create some details on my background. They are almost invisible, but they sparkle in the sun.

"Reminisce" I covered to with Imagine Ink Mystic Plum embossing powder.
Sparkles on the background - Dusty Rose Glitter.

Blue Fern Studios Supply List:
Paper: Attic Charm - Attic Key
Chipboard: Serendipity Words 2, Petite Windows
Stamp: Serendipity Medley
Imagine Ink Embossing Powder: 14 karat, Mystic Plum
Glitters: Dusty Rose

I hope you enjoy viewing my projects. See you next time :)

Grungy Art Journaling- By Keren Tamir

Hi Everyone,
Its Keren here with two new projects for the Blue Fern Studios blog.
As I usually create layouts, I really wanted to to create something different that comes from my heart.
I felt art journaling was the best way to express how I feel and to experiment with the chipboards, embossing powders and glitters.

I also really wanted to create grungy mixed media pages so I added lots of texture and movement.

"Imagination"

First I inked the background in green and yellow tones. Then I stamped the background using the Journey and Textured circles stamps.

The circle was created using thick texture paste. Then I sprinkled embossing powder on it and heat dried it. Finally I glued the beaded string chipboard piece that was embossed in verdant and seven seas embossing powder.
The Serendipity imagination title was embossed in the 14 Karat embossing powder.

I also used the lattice bits on my page which were embossed in seven seas, verdant and 14 karat embossing powders, too. The heart was embossed only in the 14 Karat embossing powder.
I also sprinkled some Fool's gold glitter on the background.

"Inspiration"

This is my second grungy texture mixed media journaling page.
This time I used a different set of colours and textures.

The tattered diamond bits chipboard was embossed in raspberry embossing powder. The Serendipity Inspiration word was embossed in the poinsettia embossing powder.

Thank you so much for visiting the Blue Fern Studios Blog

Have a wonderful day!!

April Creations From Maja

Hello everyone, welcome to the Blue Fern Studios blog today!

I have a couple of projects to share, I hope you'd find them inspiring :-)
Let me start with a wedding card I created using the Serendipity collection.

I used some left-overs from my previous projects and created a layered background - I mounted the pieces on 3D dots as I love dimension:

I wrapped one of the pieces in white lace - it looks like a bride's veil ;-) and also adds lightness and elegance:

For the central element I used the gorgeous Frills Panel that I heat-embossed with Oatmeal ep and then added some pastel flowers selected from the Serendipity flower sets. I also added string bows and decorative studs to complete my design:

Wedding Card:
Papers: Serendipity: Anticipation, Contemplation, Inspiration
Chipboard: Frills Panel
EP: Oatmeal
Flowers: Courtship Roses, Courtship Blooms

Another card I made is a more universal card withe the sentiment stamp that says "Best wishes".

For this one I used the lilac papers from the Courtship Lane collection for my background. I layered them and distressed:

The chipboard piece I used for this card is the beautiful Township Collage. I sprayed it white to keep the silhouette look and used it as a guide to place the flowers and butterflies:

As the finishing touch I splashed some golden mist over the background and added some liquid pearls here and there:

Best Wishes:
Papers: Courtship Lane: Main Street, East Plaza; Frolic: Dans Le Jardin
Chipboard: Township Collage
Flowers: Courtship Roses

Time to take to some larger projects :-) Here's the layout I created for our April sketch challenge (have you participated yet? ;-)). I chose a marine theme for my page that features the photo of my boys on one of our sailing trips:

I like to follow sketches quite faithfully, not just use them as general inspiration. And so I tried to recreate the layers and elements included in the sketch, even the quotation tag is the same ;-) I added some stamping in the background:

The swirl in the sketch reminded me of sea waves, and so I used the Circle Groups piece, heat-embossed with Breeze and Oatmeal eps. I also embossed the title word, using Breeze and Ginger eps.

For my flower cluster I used some mulberry flowers as well as real seashells :-)

Anticipation:
Papers: Serendipity: Anticipation, Contemplation, Reminisce, Calling Cards
Chipboard: Circle Groups, Serendipity Words 1
Stamps: Journey, Essential Textures
EP: Breeze, Oatmeal, Ginger

And last but not least, a home decor piece I created based upon one of my favourite BFS panels, the Shabby Brick Panel:

I used my favourite colour combo of golden cream, light turgouise and gold colour palette, selecting some papers from the Blush collection:

Among many layers matting the photo I placed the beautiful Swan Gate chipboard that I embossed using the Ginger and Sea Mist eps.

...and the smallest piece from the Roman Clock Set Large. I embossed the outer frame with Ginger and the clockface with Oatmeal eps.

The title piece is the beautiful Family piece:

This projects could be put in frames, but can also be hung directly on the wall :-)

Family:
Papers: Blush: Charmed, Fondness, Key to My Heart
Chipboard: Shabby Brick Panel,Roman Clock Set Large, Swan Gate, Family
EP: Sea Mist, Ginger, Oatmeal
Stamps: Forever
Flowers: Courtship Blooms

That's all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later! :-)
