Easter basket with Spring Parade

Hello everyone,  DT Henriëtte here today sharing an Easter basket featuring the
Spring Parade collection.

The idea for the Easter basket I got from Tara's craft studio.
I made the basket from white sheets of chipboard and decorated it with papers,
 lace, flowers and chipboard pieces.

I colored the chipboard eggs and bunny with inks.
On the top corners of the basket I glued spring colored flowers.

It was a fun project to make and I love the spring colors and flowers.
As my own daughter is to old to go egg hunting I'll be giving this basket to the neighbors children with some chocolate eggs in it.

I hope you like my Easter project.
There's still some time to make one for Easter.

Mixed Media Everlasting Love Layout by Phoebe Tonosaki

Hi crafty friends, today is my turn on Blue Fern Studios for the DT project
Today I have made a Layout .

This layout is about my parents.
This month they will be  having the 46th anniversary

Some of you may already knew that, I am married with a foreigner and moved away fm my hometown to a thousands seas away.
Looking at the old photos of my family and
making layouts with them is one of my ways to remember and honor my root.

This photo recorded a youth and carefree time of my parents.
During the time of this long marriage, I will not tell you that there were no arguments,
no big fights, no tears and no sadness.
However, it is these good moments that remind us that the love is keep going.
To envision that moment, I have used my Mom's fav color: yellow for this LO.

These are the Blue Fern Studios items I have used in this project :

Chipboard -
In the Mood self adhesive printed chipboard shapes
Flourish hearts
Hanging Oval Frame
Framed Trinkets

Paper -
Spring Parade Remembrance
Amber & Apricot Busy Bee

Ephemera - ( putting in between each layers )
Happy Accidents

Stamp - (at the background to create some texture)
Ornamentals

I hope you like this layout and my story about this everlasting love story.

First Design Team project by Phoebe Tonosaki

Hello all, it is my greatest pleasure to be here with you all.

My name is Phoebe Tonosaki.
I am from Hong Kong,
I get married with a Japanese at 2004 and moved to Japan since then.

I have always loved paper crafting and any creative activities.
I started my art journey a few years ago to explore myself and also
challenge to things that I was not able to when I was young.

I started off with altered arts and then soon fell in love with scrapbooking as well.
Beautiful papers, bright colorful flowers and shapes of chipboards stimulate my
imagination a great deal and I get comfort and peace when creating them.
Blue Fern Studios has always been my first choice when doing mixed media layout.
The designs are always the most mesmerizing ,
and the paper quality is always on the top rank especially because I love to do heavy layering.

I am thrilled to be able to on the design team 2019!
Hoping to share many inspiring and interesting projects with you all !

So here please let me share my first project !
Since this is the first time many of you get to know me.
I want to show you some of myself !

This is me !  a fun photo taken with snap chat :D

I chose Purple and Green as the main colors cos they are my favorite colors.

I started with using Stamp - Home Accents to make subtle and brief pattern on random area. I used   "Spring Parade" as the base, matching up with chipboard Jeweled Page Baubles which embossed with embossing powder "Pansy", then a piece fm the self adhesive printed chipboard shapes "Artisan Collections Remnants"to create the layers.

Then I used multiple Blue Fern Studios flowers in purple and mint green to add more elements to the whole piece.

As I aim for simple beauty for this layout,
I only added very briefly sprays around the two areas to link up all the colors.

I hope you like my first work and looking forward to hear fm you !
Greetings fm Japan !

Spring Inspiration from Lanette, with a Video too!

Hello All Lanette Here,

Here in Michigan we are desperately waiting for Spring to arrive. It's been a winter and I am ready for a spring green yard. So I thought  the Spring Parade Collection was perfect for me to create with this month.

You can see how I created this layout start to finish over on the Blue Fern YouTube Channel:

Here are just a few details of my layout...

I love the way the Chipboard looks with Ivory & Pearl Embossing Powder.

A super sweet fussy cut bunny...

Lots of Seedling & Glitter to really make these lovely blooms shine.

For my second layout, I continued the Spring fun but this time I played with the Attic Charm Collection...

Just a few details before you hop along...

A peek at this lovely lace and this sweet little chipboard bunny.

A the bit of frame that I cut away from the bunny worked perfectly with the title.

Here is a good look at all the little extras that make this layout sparkle.
Don't you just love Seedlings & Glitter!

We would like to thank the talented Bev Code for joining us during June as our Blue Fern Fan of the Month, and sharing her beautiful layouts.  It's always humbling for us to see you take our products and put them to use preserving your family memories, and Bev does just that so well.  So now, we will turn it over to Bev for her last post of the month.

Hi Blue Fern Studios fans. I am using the amazing SPRING PARADE Collection on these pages.

"Love This"

Hi... Bev here today. As Fan of the Month at Blue Fern Studios I am thrilled to be able to create using layers of paper from the SPRING PARADE collection. I used many CHIPBOARDS that I copic coloured. I finished it off adding a 3D FLOWER in the print cluster of flowers and some bead accents.

This  project shares a photo of all four of my Grand Kids when we were together celebrating. My favourite times are when family spends time together and they actually let me take some family and group photos.

I slit and fussy cut around the blooms images in paper to insert the layers that base the photo.

Here is the finished photo detailing the inserted layers with added accents.

Close up shots of copic coloured chipboards.

"The Story"

Up next is another page using layers again as the base from the SPRING PARADE collection. I used many CHIPBOARDS that I copic coloured and one piece I added special effects I'll be sharing with you. I finished it off adding a beautiful FLOWER/accent and some bead accents.

This project shares a family photo from our group gathering .... they graciously sit while I get some photos to save our memories.

For this chipboard piece I'd like to share my steps to finishing it. I copic coloured the base with green and brown copics. I then used a signo white gel pen to doodle the lines in the leaves.

This close up gives a great view of the treated chipboards and the amazing flower with berries.

Fan of the Month Album and Video

We hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday.  It's week 3 with our Blue Fern Fan of the Month, Cheryl Kearns.  Today, we continue our journey through the romantic album she has created using our Spring Parade Collection, and include a video from Cheryl.

These pages are made with the “Remembrance” papers. I have a belly band running down the center of the left page, with a floral cluster and the Large Flourish chipboard. On the opposite page I made a magnetic flap with lace on the border. I have a floral cluster on top of the flap, with the Royal Border chipboard that I embossed with Cotton Candy embossing powder.

I used the “Sunday Best” to make pockets on both pages. I also used the Large Chipboard Flourishes to highlight my flowers.

Cheryl has created a video walk-through of this amazing album, which you can see on her blog HERE.

Thanks so much for joining us today.  We will be back next Wednesday with one final post from Cheryl.
