March projects by Vera Shelemekh

Hello Blue Fern Studios fans.
The spring has sprung and Vera is here hurrying to show you layers of fresh inspiration. I would like to present  projects using the new Spring Parade collection and one more wedding layout with amazing Heartland.

Spring parade is so perfect for Easter layouts and decor and this is just the right time to start preparations for the holiday. I have created a layout which I'm planing to use as home decor on Easter.  Flowers make the scene rich and natural and the characters add some fairy look.

Floral lattice bits and the header are covered with Icicle and Lavender eggs embossing powders plus some white acrylic paint.

I used one of Vintage phrases stamp for the little journalling.

I love making gifts and for Easter I have created a couple of gift baskets. They can be filled with sweets, pies or chocolate eggs.

Each basket is made just of one sheet of paper.

Layers are built of fussy cut elements, Blooming Foliage bits covered with Lime embossing powder, ribbons and Chesterville florals

Vintage Christmas and Heartland Inspiration by Kris Berc

Hello, Blue Fern Studios fans!

I'm super excited to be here today to kick off the new year with my first projects for Blue Fern Studios!

My name is Kris Berc.  I live in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada with my wonderful husband, our amazing daughter, and our 3 fluffy kitties.  I have a career as a school psychologist, and I work with students who are experiencing learning, behavioral, and emotional difficulties in school.  At home, I enjoy hanging out with my family, keeping up with social media, and of course, scrapbooking, all the while feeding my addiction to diet coke.

Scrapbooking is my escape from life's demands.  I enjoy the creative process as much as the finished project.  There is just something so calming about playing with pretty paper and embellishments!

I'm absolutely thrilled to be designing for Blue Fern Studios.  I hope that I can inspire you to take out your Blue Fern products and create some very pretty things!

I'd love for you to visit me on my social media:

Now, on to my layouts for January!

It's a Holly Jolly Christmas

This is my daughter on Christmas day in 2015.  She looks so joyful in the photo, so I felt that the "It's a Holly Jolly Christmas" chipboard piece was a great match.  I heat embossed it with Antique Gold embossing powder.

I used the same embossing powder on some of the Turkish Bits chipboard pieces, and I tucked them in behind my flower clusters.

I have a tremendous love for flowers, so I love to use them in clusters on my projects.  I used a handful of the Christmas Blooms and Soft Blossoms, which I supplemented with a few additional flowers from my stash.

The flowers all have a subtle touch of gesso dabbed on to soften up the look.  Below you can get a pretty good luck at one of my favorite Blue Fern stamps which I used with black ink on my background.  It's from the Forever set, and it adds awesome detail to the background.

Blue Fern Studios Products used:

chipboard: It's a Holly Jolly Christmas, Turkish Bits
embossing powder: Antique Gold

Sweet

When I first laid eyes on the Heartland collection's Red Rose Ball paper, I immediately knew that I wanted to use a photo of my daughter in her jazz costume from last dance season.  That red costume was just screamin' for this paper!  I chose this sweet photo of Allison and her friend, Trinity, and as such, chose the "Sweet" chipboard piece for the title, which I embossed with Antique Gold powder.

I used the "Heartland Corner" chipboard piece to frame the photo.  I embossed part of it with Antique Gold embossing powder and part with Snow embossing powder for some contrast.

My flower cluster contains gorgeous blooms from 4 different Blue Fern collections: Heartland Blossoms, Heartland Roses and Blooms, Christmas Blossoms, and Spring Lilies.  I added a metal piece, a resin flower, sequins and bling from my stash.

Blue Fern Studios Products used:
paper: Heartland (Red Rose Ball, Kiss Kiss, Love Notes)
chipboard: Heartland Corner, Sweet
embossing powder: Antique Gold, Snow
flowers: Heartland Blossoms, Heartland Roses and Blooms, Christmas Blooms, Spring Lilies
stamp: Serendipity Medley

Sweet on You

One of the things that I love about living in Las Vegas is the fact that we can spend time outdoors during the winter without freezing.  I took this photo of my daughter a little over a month ago while she was posing in our backyard.

Ohh are the Heartland flowers pretty!  I clustered some light pink and white Heartland Roses and Blooms with some dark pink and white Heartland Blossoms and dabbed them slightly with gesso for a softening effect.  I tucked in a chipboard piece from the "Winter Page Dangles" set which I treated with Silver Bells embossing powder.

The "Sweet on You" chipboard piece was also treated with Silver Bells embossing powder and a few dabs of gesso to blend it with the rest of the page.

Blue Fern Studios Products used:
paper: Heartland (Valentine Party, Kiss Kiss, Love Notes)
chipboard: Sweet on You, Winter Page Dangles
embossing powder: Silver Bells
flowers: Heartland Blossoms, Heartland Roses and Blooms
stamp: Esssential Textures

MEMORIES collection by Yuko

Hello! Yuko here!
I use the MEMORIES collection of this new release(They are very beautiful)
I made 3layouts!
It is slightly chic and is a beautiful line of the autumnal scenery.

【Halloween】
I have done this wonderful paper for Halloween makeup
while saying wonderful ... like the autumn!
... that originally I like a Halloween layout! LOL!

Only an orange, yellow, brown, a little colored it with red in a mist
and a solid picture in watercolors in the background.

Cute chip board of this pumpkin!
Outline was embossed with HONEY · CHIRIPOWDER · VERDANT.

The title is a new color of embossing powder Black Sand.
That is a very interesting color,
such as mix of black sand as calm gold of the name.

Press the texture stamp in the background.

Chipbords:Pretty Pumpkins/Hallowenn
Flower : Late Winter Lilies

Stamp:Crackle Textures

【SWEET ON YOU】
Very impressive beige and blue, such as hoarse.

Title was embossed in AUBURN.

I put the pattern of the race in the silk screen in the background.

This cardboard is the processing method of the favorite, an emboss powder polychromatic errand!
At first emboss did the whole in OATMEAL and used AUBURN/NUTMEG/MASHROOM from the top.

An Autumn Story

The cardboard of this frame is very gorgeous!
I sprinkled only slightly light blue BREEZE on ANTIQUE GOLD/NUTMEG/OATMEL this time.

The title is the gradient using a two-color 14karat / TANGERINE.
Made with embossing powder gradation title
Even texture and lame is recommended because it is a plus!
